Our Issues in California

As of March 5, 2024, the day of the California Primary, our state faces a $73.5 billion deficit, which continues to grow due to a lack of common-sense governance. California stands at a crossroads: we can either continue down this path of fiscal irresponsibility or choose candidates who are ready to stand and fight for the people of Senate District 33.

  • Highest Poverty rate in the Nation

  • Highest Gas tax in the United States

  • Highest income tax in the United States

  • California ranks 46th in fiscal health out of 50 states in stability. California has tripled its spending for the homeless to over $200 million for their care.

As of 2023, California ranks first in the nation for the highest number of homeless individuals.

  • California politicians estimate that $8 billion is needed to address the homelessness crisis.

  • As of June 2023, state law mandates that undocumented immigrants receive $300 per week in unemployment benefits, in addition to $3,874 per month in federal aid and $1,200 per month in Social Security benefits.

  • Despite having the toughest gun laws in the country, California ranks fifth out of 50 states for the most violent crimes involving gun violence in 2023.

In 2022, 700,000 people moved out of California, and it is estimated that over 1 million will leave in 2023. For over 12 years, California has been under one-party rule, from the Governor to the Senate to the Assembly. This party has consistently failed to deliver effective governance term after term.

California the cost of Illegal Immigration 2023

As the grandson and husband of immigrants, I will always support legal immigration, which is integral to our country's fabric.

The estimated annual cost of illegal immigration in California exceeds $33 billion. In 2022, California's spending on benefits and services for undocumented immigrants amounted to $22.8 billion. For 2023, this cost is projected to surpass $30 billion, partly due to a new law granting undocumented immigrants $300 per week in unemployment benefits.

California contributes approximately one-sixth of the nationwide cost of illegal immigration, which is estimated to be between $185 and $200 billion annually for 2023. This significant contribution is among the highest compared to other states. California's estimated annual cost of $32.5 billion represents about 8% of the nationwide total.

California's high immigration costs are largely due to its shared border with Mexico and its large population of undocumented immigrants. These costs encompass healthcare, education, social services, and law enforcement. With a shrinking tax base, California is at risk of facing bankruptcy by the end of 2024 or sooner. The state's non-voted Sanctuary status is a key factor in this financial strain.

Education

It’s common knowledge that California is a failed State. One of the most important failures is education. The following information was collected from the California Department of Education, Media reports, the National Center for Education, and interviews with School officials and parents.

Sadly, it is common knowledge that California has failed its population in one of the most important qualities of life, “Education.”

California education ranks 44th out of 50 states, with 50, of course, being the worst. In 2012, when it was 32, it wasn’t good. Now, after 12 years of single-party rule, we have become even worse with a 12-point drop.

California is ranked 50th out of 50 in student literacy as of 2023, and to compound this, it is now ranked as the least educated state in the Country.

These are the school Districts in Senate District 33; The School districts have gone from education to the Practice of Diversity, inclusion, creating division between races, leading children in sexual circumstances beyond their concept or understanding.

Huntington Park – LAUSD /High School /Elementary, Math level 37% at grade level Reading level 32% at grade level.

South Gate – LAUSD / High School/Elementary, Bottom 50%, Math level 29% at grade level, Reading level 48% at grade level.

Paramount School District – (Paramount) High School/Elementary, College readiness 26.8% / Math 27% at grade level (High School) 19% / Reading 42% / High School 23%

Lynwood School District (Lynwood) Math 15% of grade level proficiency / Reading 28% of grade proficiency. Ranked as one of the States lowest in Education.

Lakewood School District – (Lakewood, ABC) Proficiency in grade level math 33% / Proficiency in reading 63%

Education in California has not only Failed our Children it continues to get worse as every one of these districts lists themselves as practicing “Diversity and Inclusion” which reflects the horrible education our children receive. The following exert is Quoted word for word from the California department of Education as well as LAUSD the 2nd largest school district in the United States. California has passed an “Ethnic” studies curriculum that calls for the “Decolonization” of American society, (the total and complete destruction of the family unit) the solution is “Counter genocide.” California dept. of Education has adopted radical “trans-affirming” programming and instructs teachers to work toward the breakdown of the gender binary to experiment with gender pronouns and to adopt trans-affirming programming to make classrooms “Queer all School Year” *You will find this and more in the LAUSD website under Human Relations, Diversity, and Equity department led by a “Judy Chiasson PhD” allow me to point out that every School District in Senate District 33 has changed, modified and used the outline for School Education from LAUSD “Judy Chiasson” as a model thus they are now listing and using Diversity and Inclusion in our Schools.

California also has The School Success and Opportunity Act (Assembly bill 1266) this “LAW” extends gender identity and gender expression discrimination protection to Transgender and gender-nonconforming (Non-Binary) K-12 Students in Public Schools. Added to a parent’s confusion with California education is what California dept. of Education calls (SOGIE) also known as “Sexual Orientation, gender identity & expression. This term recognizes all sexual orientation and gender identities including “Cisgender.”

The Budget (Cost) for this “non-education” California education budget for 2023 is over $108.3 Billion.

The Education for 2022 was $128.6 Billion and in 2021 $124.3 Billion over the past 12 years California taxpayers have paid hundreds of billions for education and have received nothing in return for all these billions to teach our children, Parents Must take control of the education of our children or we will go from 44th to 50th in education.

If any parent groups need me to appear at a School Board to fight for our children, I will gladly do so.

Abortion

The debate over "My Body, My Choice" in the context of abortion centers on the distinction between a woman's body and the body of the unborn child. No one is dictating what a woman should do with her own body; rather, the focus is on the body within her own.

No one should have the power to determine the life and existence of another human being. Abortion should not be used as a form of birth control, especially when there are many other options that do not infringe on a human's right to live.

However, there are always exceptions to consider, such as cases involving rape, incest, or the health of the mother or the unborn child.
